3 alumnas estarán este trimestre en Institution du Sacre Coeur, France

Eva Morán, su prima Alba y Lucía Livianos que empezarían 3º ESO con nosotros, han tenido la oportunidad de pasar el trimestre en la Institution du Sacré Cœur en La Ville du Bois, a unos kms al sur de París.
Ya en Junio fueron citadas al Consejo de Investigaciones Científicas en Madrid para hablar, junto a todos los demás del resto de España, de lo que se espera de ellas, participantes en este nuevo Programa Comenius de Movilidad Individual y lo que ellas podían traerse de esta experiencia nueva. Aquí les vemos junto a Ramón y Cajal y Severo Ochoa, premios Nobel españoles de Medicina.

El 31 de Agosto, fuimos a despedirles al aeropuerto de Matacán. Todo era perfecto hasta que el vuelo fue cancelado en el último minuto por problemas técnicos. Supongo que los nervios, mezclados con la pena de despedirse de la familia, con las ganas de llegar e instalarse en el nuevo habitat, familia, colegio, etc se detuvieron casi 3 horas hasta que llegó otro avión que les llevó a París-Orly sanas y salvas.
Según nos cuenta Eva “hemos llegado, todas bieen… Por lo demás, el avión muy tranquilo, y cuando llegamos a Orly encontramos rápidamente a todos, hasta las maletas llegaron bieen… Vamos a ir a ver el colegio y nos recoge la madre de Noemie para enseñarnos el camino al colegio
Ya hemos ido a ver el colegio que, por cierto, además de bonito también es enorme!
aah! y cada una estamos en una clase diferente, Lucía en 3ºF, Alba en 3ºB y yo en 3ºA

"My trip was very well. I was very happy to stay in Spain because I had always dreamed of going to this country. When I arrived in Salamanca, I was welcomed very well by the Spanish people and by the family of my penfriend Fran. Then I went to the secondary school Maria Auxiliadora. I immediately got used to the pupils who are very friendly, the teachers too, and I had a lot of fun.
When I was at Fran's family's, I ate very well and I played with Fran a lot. In the afternoon, we played football. I'm very happy to have met this family.
I hope that I will go back to Salamanca because it was too cool and I would have liked to stay there longer."

Ana Maria, Hola.
We are now at home. We have all, students and teachers, enjoyed this project meeting in Salamanca. It was nice to know each other, to discover your town and your school. Our students have enjoyed to be hosted in families.
They have now very good new Comenius friends in Spain.

In France it is raining and it is cold.. we have now to prepare us for the meeting with the headmaster because he likes always to get informations from the students. THANK YOU, thanks also for your colleagues and the families.

El jueves 11 de Junio entregamos los premios recibidos;la 1ª entrega de los premios del concurso-juego en inglés THE BIG CHALLENGE que tuvo lugar en el teatro del colegio. Participaron 44 alumnos de 1º y 2º con gran éxito, siendo Ana Carmen Iglesias de 1ºESO la 2ª de la Comunidad de Castilla y León.
Entre los premios diccionarios de Larousse, guías de viaje, CDs de hip-hop en inglés, revistas "I love English" para todos los participantes y diplomas. Aprovechamos para hacer un miniconcurso en el teatro y así animar la entrega. El año que viene esperamos que muchos más se animen a participar!

A few days in England...

Last Easter I was in London with my family. We went to London on Saturday morning from Madrid by plane. When we arrived in London we went for a walk along Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and we saw some sights. In Regents Street, there was a very nice Ferrari Shop and we had a good time. The Liberty Shop building was beautiful.

The next day , we got up early and we had a big breakfast, we visited three museums and the main monuments Westminster Abbey, Tower of London…

On our third day in London we travelled to Canterbury. Canterbury has a Roman city Walls, a cathedral and beautiful medieval streets.

Another day we went to Harrods. It was very elegant shop. In the afternoon we visited Buckingham Palace. Then we went to the London Eye and we walked acrossHyde Park. Later we went to Hamley´s. It is a toys store and Ana, my sister, liked it very much!.

Chelsea is a Borough in the west of the City of Westminster. It contains one of the most exclusive residential districts in London. It is beautiful.
We came back on Wednesday night. We had a really great time there!!!!

Hola, soy Carmen de 2º C
Estamos muy bien en Francia, todo es muy diferente. Pero las familias se han portado generalmente muy bien con nosotros. El colegio es enorme. La visita a Tolouse estuvo muy bien. Es una ciudad muy parecida a todas las de España, no encuentro tanta diferencia como entre Londres y Salamanca. Es mucho más parecida a cualquier ciudad española. Es curioso, que viven todos en casas independientes, muy lejos del colegio, la mayoría vamos en un autobús escolar. Yo, tengo que andar diez minutos, para después, estar 20 en el autobús y ya llegar al colegio. Éste es gigante, tiene 800 alumnos, pero sólo tiene cuatro cursos.
Tienen costumbres distintas a las nuestras; a las nueve muchas veces se van a dormir, y comen sobre las once y media. Pero, pican mucho entre horas. Aunque también todo varía según los padres. Muchos de ellos están separados. Es algo más común que en España.
Las clases son muy serias, y los profesores muy estrictos. Sólo nos queda el último día aquí, voy a echar mucho de menos todo esto,

Hoy hemos ido a Toulouse nosotros y nuestros intercambios y nos han enseñado la ciudad. Es muy grande y muy bonita. Tiene muchas iglesias goticas preciosas. Nosotros comimos alli y a las 4 ymedia pusimos rumbo a Lescar.

Hola !!
Soy Cristina, escribiendo desde el aula de tecnologia. No podemos mandaros fotos porque no tenemos cables para conectar los moviles ni camaras, por lo menos nosotros ( Henar, Fernando, Tomas y yo)
Este colegio es muy grande y con muchas nuevas tecnologias y las costumbres son muy diferentes, por ejemplo: aqui los profesores no cambian de clases, si no son los alumnos los que se mueven.
tienen las pizarras tactiles proyectadas con un cañon.
Nos tenemos que ir porque la clase se acabaaa y ahora nos vamos a frances

Salut;
Somos Henar y Fernando Davila, por aqui andamos bien, el viaje muy cansado y muy largo. Ayer llegamos a las 5 de la tarde despues de pasar por la playita para comer y nos fuimos con nuestras familias. Ahora estamos en clase de informatica, y las clases son muy chulas. No hay tildes porque los teclados son diferentes y no las encontramos jeje. Hemos llegado al colegio a las 8:30 y nos iremos a Pau despues de comer, a las 11;30. Todavia no nos han pasado muchas cosas pero ya os iremos contando. SALUDOS DESDE LA FRANCE!

A principios de Octubre, dimos la noticia de la llegada de Miriam Thielmann como Ayudante Comenius asignada a nuestro Colegio y ahora tenemos que decir que ya pasaron los seis meses de su estancia y ha vuelto a su país y a su Universidad para acabar su carrera. A lo largo de estos meses, hemos notado su ayuda en las veladas especialmente y, con gran éxito, ha desempeñado su trabajo con las clases de apoyo y refuerzo en Inglés y con sus clases de Alemán.

Así que, los más de 200 alumnos con los que ha trabajado, y el claustro de profesores, sobretodo, los que tuvimos el placer de trabajar más de cerca con ella, le echaremos de menos mucho ya que se ha hecho querer con todas sus virtudes humanas: su paciencia, su trabajo, su simpatía, su amor a la música, a los idiomas, su esfuerzo aprendiendo español y por integrarse con todo el claustro, su buen hacer, etc y le deseamos desde aquí lo mejor en el futuro, en sus estudios y en su vida. Oxford is a city, in South East England. It has a population of over 151,000. The rivers Cherwell and Thames run through Oxford and meet south of the city centre. For a distance of some 16 km along the river, in the vicinity of Oxford, the Thames is known as The Isis.

For over 800 years, Oxford has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years

Oxford is home to the University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is first mentioned in 12th century records.

Buildings in Oxford reflect every English architectural period since the arrival of the Saxons, including the iconic, mid-18th century Radcliffe Camera, the hub of the city. Oxford is known as the "city of dreaming spires", a term coined by poet Matthew Arnold in reference to the harmonious architecture of Oxford's university buildings. Nowadays, the city is often referred to as the "city of perspiring dreams".

St Frideswide is the patron saint of both the city and university.

Cambridge is by the river Cam, in the south east of United Kingdom (UK). This city has about 110,000 inhabitants.

Cambridge has a football team, Cambridge United F.C. Cambridge has an active Christian population, there are many old beautiful churches and colleges ( see pictures)

The famous music band “Pink Floid” was born in Cambridge.

Londres, ciudad fascinante

La ciudad de Londres fue fundada por los romanos bajo el nombre de Londinium en el año 43 y está situada a orillas del río Támesis, al sur de la isla de Gran Bretaña. Es la capital de Inglaterra. Londres cuenta con gran diversidad de atracciones turísticas y por ello es una de las ciudades más transitadas y visitadas del mundo, con una afluencia turística de más de 30 millones de personas al año, venidas desde todos los continentes. Las principales atracciones turísticas son la Torre de Londres, el London Eye, Trafalgar Square, la Abadía de Westminster, Parliament Square, Tower Bridge, Hyde Park, Regent´s Park, The Mall, el Palacio de Buckingham, la Catedral de San Pablo, Piccadilly Circus, o el Castillo de Windsor, además de multitud de museos, galerías de arte y los teatros. Pasear por los numerosos parques y deleitarse con los árboles centenarios, la fauna propia del lugar y los jardines tan cuidados es una obligación cuando el tiempo lo permite.
